Income for youth cafe possible?

is it possible to set up a youth arts cafe and earn a living out of it. i used to volunteer at one and i want to make it my career, i want to be able to lead one and plan all of the clubs and activities and set up gigs and festivals. theres quite a few empty shops that id love to turn into a youth arts cafe. but could it only ever be voluntary?
