Why do SOME religious people think athiests are evil ?

I'm an atheist, and i have a very religious neighbour. she says im evil because i don't believe in god. but i do voluntary work, i go to school and l help with Charity's, im just curious as to why some think atheists or agnostics are evil when were clearly not. and im NOT critisizing, everyone is entitled to they're own beliefs. sensible answers please.
