My dad got his friend a job and not my husband.?

Getting a relative, even if it's a relative by marriage, or recommending said relative, for a job, is a very tricky thing. Doing things like that, if anyone is unhappy about the arrangement, can cause a lot of strife in a family. Maybe he thought he was doing the right thing by not recommending your husband in case he hated the job or maybe he just thought it wouldn't be a good fit for him. Either let it go or ask him why he didn't tell the employer about your husband.
